Joseph Morton was a cab driver and a former member of biker gang the Jokers.
Biography[]
Joseph Morton was born in Cicero, Illinois, before moving to Chicago. As a teen, Morton formed the biker gang the Jokers along with Henry "Studs" Spake, sisters Lila Polito and Coral Polito, and Turk Pelletier, picking up a criminal record for multiple thefts and assaults. During a prank gone wrong, the Jokers killed Harold "Swordsman" Baker, a member of rival gang the Bishops. Following this, Baker’s headless ghost haunted the Jokers and attempted to reclaim his head, which Pelletier carried in a container as a trophy. Baker decapitated Pelletier, and the Jokers stopped him before he killed any more of them by burying the container with his corpse. Shortly after, the Jokers disbanded. As an adult, Morton got a job as a taxi driver, working for taxi dispatcher Norman Cahill, and married Lila.
Several years later, Baker’s corpse was unearthed and separated from his head once more. Preparing for Baker, Morton sore a bulletproof vest to work. While he walked into work, Baker’s ghost attacked him, injuring him by slicing through his bullet vest with a sword. Though he was able to dodge Baker’s attacks initially, Morton’s injury caught up to him and he was unable to dodge another one of Baker’s attacks, being decapitated.
