Las Vegas[]
One of the reporters working there, Carl Kolchak, repeatedly attempted to publish a story on the recent killings in the city. Vincenzo believed these papers to be garbage, and often yelled at Carl not to publish them. After Kolchak managed to kill Janos Skorzeny, the vampire responsible for the killings, and gained enough evidence, he submitted his story to Vincenzo once more; Vincenzo accepted, and published the story, telling Carl that he was “a hell of a reporter.” Shortly afterwards, Kolchak was run out of Las Vegas. Some time after this, Vincenzo moved out of Las Vegas and into Seattle, gaining a position in the popular and esteemed local newspaper The Daily Chronicle.
Seattle[]
After a few years of working as an editor at the Chronicle, Vincenzo ran into Kolchak at a bar. Kolchak weaseled his way into getting Vincenzo to hire him, and he assigned the reporter to cover the murder of a prostitute.
